Stories From Before

Scientists generally agree that there have been 5 or 6 worldwide cataclysms on Earth. These have resulted in mass extinctions 5 times and we’re working on a 6th. Cataclyms can be caused by pole shifts, impacts from asteroids or comets, volcano or supervolcano eruptions, polar ice caps melting, climate change, etc. Humans can be responsible for cataclysms, too…nuclear war, for example. This hasn’t happened yet, but can happen at any time.

A cataclysm is said to wipe out civilizations in the blink of an eye. Sometimes in less than a day. Nearly all proof of civilization wiped out of existence. Turned to dust. There is some evidence of this- technology appearing in the fossil record at odd times, unexplained cities, archeological finds, pyramids, etc. But mostly these cataclysms seem to bury just about every hint of us.

Each time a cataclysm occurs, there have been a handful of humans left to start over. These are not planned events, so the survivors could be literally anyone. Complete happenstance and blind luck. How well do these individuals know their civilization? How accurate are the stories they pass on? What do they leave out? What do they embellish? What logic do they use top fill gaps in understanding? What truth is lost through generations? More importantly, how well are these stories preserved from cataclysm through cataclysm. Surviving humans who rebuild their civilization seem to forget. Or, at least, to conflate or confuse the stories of origin and destruction. Regardless, these cataclysms mark human history on this planet.

Our history runs through these events. It doesn’t end with each one. Perhaps our myths and legends are simply history that has become conflated and forgotten. Perhaps we confuse the times in between each cataclysm, there also confusing what is learned and what remains each time.

We know the stories of Noah and Utnapishtum and how they survived their cataclysm. It is said that some Lemurians survived a nuclear war with the Annunaki and Atlantis and rebuilt the lost city of Mu in the American West. Specifically, in caverns beneath California’s Mount Shasta. We assume that Zeus and Apollo and other Greek gods are myth. Like Mohammed, Buddha, and Jesus, what if they are literal figures who defined life on earth in their time but were lost in a cataclysm, the record of their exploits evaporating from the solid stuff of memory and experience into a nebulous idea of something that may or may not have happened. For that matter, might Odin, Thor, and Loki also be real characters from a different time period, effecting life on earth in their time? Just as Anu, Enki, and Enlil may have impacted life in this time?

Is this really so hard to believe? How could a cataclysm really wipe out all evidence of what is lost? Let’s consider an example…

A pole shift can happen quietly in ways we never notice. Or, it can bury the entire surface of the planet in mud up to two miles deep. In a single day. What the fuck, you say? Yep, facts. The Earth spins about 1,000mph. It spins on an axis. As the magnetic pole shifts deep within the Earth, effects result on the surface. What once was the North Pole may now be thousands of miles south. Warmer. What happens to the ice? It melts. Weight along the surface of the planet begins to shift. It’s like having a goose-egg on a tire. It causes wobble. This wobble and unbalanced weight can cause the Earth’s axis to change. When this reaches a critical point and the Earth’s rotation reverses, a cataclysm results. The core and mantle begin spinning the opposite direction while the crust continues moving at 1,000mph. Massive tsunamis- miles high- of mud, rock, water, and civilization’s remains wash over the Earth and bury what once flourished. All traces of civilization are buried up to 10,000 feet under the ground. Why do we not find them? Because we can’t look that deep in the ground, quite simply. It’s too hot. Too much pressure.  Pompeii was buried under 50 feet of earth. Other ancient finds have been discovered 200 or 300 feet deep. Most archeological finds occur at depths of less than 20 feet. Not 10,000.

When the day is over, billions are dead, continents are changed, moved, and reshaped, all is lost. The great nations, gone. Our brilliant technology, gone. Earth’s great cities, gone. The lucky few begin to rebuild and pass on stories of what they believe happened to all they ever knew. Explanations run the gamut. These humans begin as cave men and struggle to survive and learn what is forgotten- how to make tools, weapons, technology. Hunting. Gathering. Agriculture. Language morphs and changes, as does writing. They begin again the cycle of life on Earth. Like ants, we rebuild what was knocked down.

Scientists believe that this scenario is not only possible, but has happened before. And will happen again. Guys, we are in the middle of a pole shift now in 2025. Google it. Not all pole shifts end in cataclysm, but many do.

We are smaller than we believe. We are older than we know. And the truth of our existence is so much bigger than our stories convey.
