I AM: The Gods Of Man Speak For Themselves. And, 2 Timelines
Updated: Jan 29

“I am He!” (John 18:6-8)
These words in a darkened, enshadowed Gethsemene Garden mark a turning point in the killing of the Christ. Before those words on that day, Jesus of Nazareth prepared his people for his death and all that would follow, in sadness and humility. After those words, as his murderers demanded his account, that man was Jesus of Nazareth in name only. He became something more…divine…more...“I’m not to be trifled with”, in attitude towards those around him, with very few exceptions- zero in the masculine. After those words, it was no longer about the people around him, it was about him getting through what was before him. It was the task at hand. It was business. It was “Do what you’re going to do and don’t waste my time. Get on with it” as lovingly as possible. It was grimness and humility intertwined and personified. It was a demigod placing his chosen body on the block, accepting the embarrassing, foreign weakness and strange, all-consuming pain and emotion that consumed his world and wasn’t even really his…
Really think about what happened there in that place: mankind arresting its god? How ridiculous a notion! Both that it happened, and that it was allowed to happen. How in the frog’s fat cosmic fuck did it ever get to that point?
This was no accident. Nor was it anything near a successful investigation by a Jewish Sanhedrin. There were cosmicly qualified characters involved, no matter WHOSE narrative you buy. It was planned. Just like it happened. Names aside, how did a son of the god of the known universe on Planet Earth at the time wind up in custody and in line for the next double-dogwood atop Golgotha? By the way…Annunaki reportedly live to be in the neighborhood of 9,000 human years old. How fast does 6 hours one Sunday pass to someone who measures birthdays by the millennia?
To understand this moment, this turning point, is to understand the entire story’s true power. I do not believe the word choice is coincidental. I do not believe in coincidences. The Prince’s word choice was deliberate and devastatingly simple. Subject, verb, adverb. I Am He. The Melam-esque pulse of power that floored the crowd around him was intentional. Controlled. Measured. Do not trifle with me. This could’ve been done at ANY time. Why now? Why these particular words? What is the significance?
It’s almost as if this were a trigger term for Jesus. Sort of a “ok, it’s go time.” Flip the switch, let’s get this done. If Enki Jesus were GenX, this would be the moment where he said, “Fuck it, let’s do it.” And IYKYK, Genx, once that gets said, it’s going down no matter what. BUT…why now with these words?
It’s not the first time they were used. Jesus made 7 different “I Am” claims in the New Testament. These, too, were references to previous uses. These previous uses, non-coincidentally, occurred in the last era in which Enki and Enlil walked the Earth visibly.
To answer the question of how it got to this point, I look to the language that flipped the switch. Words matter. Enlil and Enki BOTH used the "I AM" identifier in their PHYSICAL interactions with human beings in the Christian Bible. Enlil as EL, Enki as Elohim, and the brothers collectively as YHWH. And then, of course, Enki himself as Jesus in the opening reference of this entry. I AM HE. The phrase has a history. The words, dredged in time and experience.
Historically, the last use of an I AM statement on Earth by Enki before Jesus was the original formalization of the proper name to Moses. I AM WHAT I AM. Tell them I AM sent you. Enki made the name formal and, with Enlil’s help, instilled cosmic fear into it. And, under the banner of that name, the brothers gifted humanity devastating cosmic weapons that operated on sound, light, heat, and vibration…that left visible, measurable scars on the earth in the form of radiation and salt and sulfur. I am speaking, of course, of the Ark of the Covenant. And before that?
Before that on a historical timeline in the Bible, Job lived around the time of the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob). So, on a timeline of world history, the events described in the book of Job in the Bible occurred before the time of Moses- possibly before the time of Abraham. From this point of view, the last use of an “I Am” statement by The-Man-I-Am Himself before the time of Moses was by both brothers as they addressed Job. In this instance, Enlil and Enki didn’t use “I am” as a proper name, but we sure as tit-shit can see the roots of the inspiration in the entire interaction recorded in the Book of Job.
The Book of Job features strong, powerful appearances by YHWH Elohim, YHWH, Elohim, El Shaddai, Eloah, and El. The Gods of Man were on parade. Enlil and Enki in all their glory. And on trial at the same time. So was mankind- all of us. This was a particular moment in the story of the Annunaki and their creation, Mankind. Enki insisted on rebooting, rather than abandoning humanity. Noah was his leverage. It was enough to convince Enlil to give it another go. It was a pattern. The brothers had been here before. Shit goes down, gets real, they show up, Enlil scares the shit out of everyone, Enki negotiates and finds a soft spot in Enlil’s heart, and Enlil relents. Good cop, bad cop. Mostly. Abraham's 3 visitors. The 2 visitors poor Lot had to protect from ass-rape in the city of Sodom. Enki wrestling with Jacob so Enlil didn’t have to. Enki commanding Isaac to stay in Philistine. I could go on…
The brothers were very involved in carving an intentional path for Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. BUT, let's be honest, it really wasn’t going well. Enki’s compassion, devotion, and belief in his creation continued to produce best efforts on humanity’s part. But they were few and far between. We of dual nature are closely tied to our primal and material instincts. The Ape lives large in Man. Enlil never showed quite the same faith in humanity as his brother. Enlil’s sense of justice and goodness and responsibility demanded action and accountability. Enki saw past it all. But still, it wasn’t enough.
The Annunaki are a highly evolved, ascended species. We are barely out of the mud. We weren’t taking to training. The whole sit and stay thing…. We kept swerving from our intended path and allowing ourselves to forget our higher nature. Obsessing over pleasures of sex and drunkenness and debauchery. Materialism. Violence run amok. Apes. Even without the disastrous Nephilim, humans were capable of all sorts of bullshit all by themselves. And because they created us, the Annunaki are responsible. If humans can’t be trained or controlled, and continue to evolve and develop higher weapons, and apply the same violence and disregard, then they become a threat. Anu would never have it. Anu would not allow humanity to stain the universe in his name. Even if all we do is destroy ourselves here on this planet, this itself is a massive spiritual blow to the universe and to the Annunaki honor. Anu and the Annunaki are known for their goodness. It is their very power. Their own creation behaving so badly that it offends their very souls or soils their family name is not a sustainable situation.
Humans were out of control pets at this point. And the Annuanki knew they either had to own us fully or have us all put down once and for all. They'd wiped the Earth clean of Man once already. Now, here again, Enki wanted to lean in, and Enlil wasn't convinced. This, I believe, was a schism between the brothers. Enlil was bent on ending early, fast, and easy. Enki, true to his nature, believed in Mankind. So there was debate.
If the Annunaki were to own humanity fully, what would that look like? How would they do that? Mechanically speaking, how would that work? And how, in Anu’s name, were our baser instincts ever to be controlled so that our spirits could ascend? EVEN IF Enlil agreed to Enki’s scheme, their father would never accept or entertain it. And it didn’t matter. Enlil just straight up did not believe that mankind could ever ascend beyond the material.
True to pattern, Enki found leverage in Job.
Both Enki and Enlil were on full display in the story of Job. The Cosmos features brightly in this narrative, along with powerful light, sound, and vibration elements. Numerous and thunderous “I Am” statements rippled through the narrative, all to be summed up as “I AM In Charge, and You Isn’t, So Fucking Watch It.”
And after that? Well, after that, we can go one of two ways…and which way we go, as goes the curse Obi Wan once laid upon us, “depends on your particular point of view.” We’ve walked it back, so now let’s walk it forward and see what happens from both points of view:
Point of View #1: Historical Timeline
If you operate from a historical timeline, then you observe Enlil and Enki learning from their creation. And, learning to live with it. Learning what we are capable of. And what we aren’t. Learning what works and what doesn’t. I always read that aliens would be exceptional problem solvers. They’d solved things once already this time around with a regional flood cataclysm. Should they do it again once and for all?
Eternally pragmatic, they accepted as innate our spiritual limitation and our inability to ascend without assistance.
In relationships with humans, humans began to recognize it as well. With David, particularly, acknowledging his own inability to choose right if not helped by a higher power. That was kinda new.
Enki had a plan to physically take form and model the behavior as parents do for children. He wanted to show Enlil and Anu both that it could be done. He also wanted to open a "spiritual office" of sorts for humanity in his father's house, or corporate headquarters, or whatever. It would be a point of contact for humans and would be staffed by those who have already ascended. It was a way for humanity to transmute its weakness into ascension. Assistance. Cataclysms weren’t necessary. Enki believed mankind could wake up from Apeville. But showing them- being that example- was another matter entirely.
Enlil wasn’t having it. No brother of his should lower himself to that. That aside, there are strategic concerns if enemies hear that unevolved apes killed an Annunaki prince without retaliation. That may invite strategic ambition on the part of their enemies. And beyond all that…what if it doesn’t work? Perceptions matter. Plus, what if Enki couldn’t do it? What if he, in that vessel, was just as bent to pleasure as the humans were with no inherited access to higher functions to control it? It was inconceivable, irresponsible, and reckless to even discuss it.
Enki sets up a demonstration to convince his brother. Enlil balks, remembering. "Enki, you got me with with Lot and Noah, but not this time. You can hold up your perfect human, but I will test his perfection myself." Enlil doesn’t hold back. Enki and Enlil both have a go at Job. Other forces add to the fray. Even Job’s friends weigh in. Eternal, cosmic pile on. Eesh…
But then Job passes the fucking test. All by his damn self. To death’s very doorstep they dragged him roughly. Job went through multi-dimensional suffering, and never forgot who he was. All but for closing the eyes, Enlil and Enki killed Job. Enki made his point. "If this man can do it, brother, I can, too. I will show them." The last words of El/Enlil as he departed the scene in the Book of Job- and the entire Old Testament, in fact- were delivered with a pointed finger at Job’s 3 friends, “You lied about me and you lied about this man… I suggest you pray to Job and hope I don’t come back here.” …or something like that. The only time Enlil suggested anyone pray to anything other than himself, his brother, or his father. The fact that he addresses Eliphaz’s dishonesty suggests Enlil was convinced. Man’s suffering was not inexorably tied to his guilt. Man could suffer and remain guilt-free…and still ascend. And, in fact, be worthy of prayer to his own power by the lesser of his species. Job earned Enlil’s respect. Job earned Enlil’s welcome. Let all that soak in…
The gods retreat. On the historical timeline, the next time we hear from Enki is when he calls a disillusioned prince out of hiding, formalizes the I AM mentality, defeats an Egyptian Pharaoh's army in battle, gifts the victorious military a cosmic weapon of mass destruction, teaches Moses and thereby an entire people transcendental meditation, and sets up the most powerful nation on Earth at the time that still to this day, is at the center of geopolitical concern.
I'd say they effectively leaned in, based on the historical timeline.
Point of View #2: Biblical Timeline
The Biblical timeline is different than the historical timeline. For instance, though the events of the Book of Job took place during the Patriarchy, the book itself in the Bible appears well past the Books of Moses, which are set forth beginning in Genesis. Which timeline you choose is up to you. One occurred naturally- it's what happened. The other timeline is manually assembled and maintained over time as literature. Which one were we supposed to receive? Maybe the historical didn't sink in quite enough, so the literary work was held up just in case. Maybe it doesn't matter.
If you operate from a Biblical timeline, then you observe Enlil and Enki learning from their creation. And, learning to live with it. Learning what we are capable of. And what we aren’t. Learning what works and what doesn’t. I always read that aliens would be exceptional problem solvers. They’d solved things once already this time around with a regional flood cataclysm. Should they do it again once and for all?
After beginning anew post-cataclysm, the brothers decide to lean into their creation somewhat and see if a more direct and hands-on approach might produce a better result. The reasoning would be that planet Earth is teaming with life and distraction. The Annunaki don’t rule the planet. There are others. If the Annunaki could create a safe, controlled, cultural environment, then perhaps at least one chosen people may achieve ascension. This has all the marks of two sons working feverishly to account for the boxes they knew their dad had to check.
On the Biblical timeline, the next time we hear from Enki is when he calls a disillusioned prince out of hiding, formalizes the I AM mentality, defeats an Egyptian Pharaoh's army in battle, gifts the victorious military a cosmic weapon of mass destruction, teaches Moses and thereby an entire people transcendental meditation, and sets up the most powerful nation on Earth at the time that still to this day, is at the center of geopolitical concern.

The gods retreat. After Job, on a Biblical timeline, God- by any name- didn’t speak to humanity from Earth, physically, for 1,800 years. As a closing thought to the O.T., the brothers pop back up in Malachai. Their final words as YHWH to the planet (from elsewhere) through the prophet in the Old Testament were, roughly, “I AM is here and I will return.”
After this, on a Biblical timeline, the next time we hear from the brothers in a literary sense in the Bible is when Enki asks his Earthly mom, “Why are you looking for me? You knew I’d be here.”
If the Christian Bible were purely a work of literature, it would be meant to be absorbed as a narrative from first to last. The narrative contains the Truth of itself. As a work of religion, the rules are a little different. With religious works, truth can be sampled from one portion of the work to another, independent of timeline, to test each portion against other portions of itself, with far less regard for context and chronology. If something is true about God in Genesis, it would also be true about God in Job. Not so in a work of literature. In literary works, characters learn. They grow. They change. The evolution of characters and the unfolding plot with its twists and turns, is, itself, a primary revealer of truth. To remove the order and timing and context within the narrative is to remove the truth. Observing the evolution of our imperfect gods and how THEIR understanding of US changes over time is CRITICAL to our understanding of them and, ultimately, ourselves.
So, by looking at the Bible as a work of literature, one observes that the hero of the story shuts his mouth and disappears for 1800 years right in the middle of the book. The brothers flex massive on Job, and then go home in silence, as Planet Earth talks about them in their absence. And then, a postcard...and then, by and by...a baby is born.
On the other hand, from a historical perspective on a chronological timeline, the events unfold a little different. You get different texture, different angles, different glimpses. But do you get different Truth? Does this difference matter? It doesn’t seem to matter much to me. To me, Truth is unfazed by the difference, except to show different parts of itself depending on the perspective. But there are enough differences here between the historical and the Biblical that I chose to include both perspectives in crude form and leave it at that. Take, make, and bake of it what you will…
"Observing the evolution of our imperfect gods
and how THEIR understanding of US changes
over time is CRITICAL to our understanding of them
and, ultimately, ourselves."
Either way, we come down to the same point, and either way, Job is a pivotal figure. His story is the taproot of the Annunaki identity on Planet Earth. If this story had been engineered on the American continent by natives of the northern portion, their proper name henceforth might've been "He Who Says I Am, ALOT". To Job, they said it enough that it became their name very soon after.
So....what did the brothers learn from Job? They learned, and seemed to generally and mutually accept, that Enki’s plan just might work. Before Job, the brothers were physically hands-on involved in the business of the Earth. After Job, their work on and for Earth was done from elsewhere. Behind the scenes, if you will.
Ok, so we can get to this point. We got the What, we got the Why. We also got more verbs than “get”. What comes next is the How. Got that?

Footnote: It is endearing to note how, in the Bible's Book of Job, when Elohim speaks and rants, Sumerian Enki nearly jumps off the page. The Sumerian God of Water, Wisdom, Craft, Magic, and Creation, Elohim speaks from his vertical strengths in Job. Likewise, Enlil thunders at Job as El and YHWH through Storms, Wind, Air, and Earth. The supporting descriptive terms for each, El Shaddai and Adonai, along with the various plurals such as Elihu and Eloha, hold to the same pattern. The legacy of the Sumerian, Akkadian, and Babylonian brothers is strong in the Judeo-Christian Bible.
